Healthy Kids Nutrition Camp: Ages 4-9


Camp Details

Both days will be from 10 am to 3 pm. I will be offering a camp for two separate age groups, ages 4-9 and 10-13. The topics of conversation may vary slightly based on the age group. During longer education periods, there will be a mix of relevant activities added in to maintain engagement.


Ages 4-9: July 11 + 12th

Ages 10-13: July 18 + 19th

There is a limit of 10 children per group due to space limitations. If the interest is high enough, I will add another week of camp. The camp will be held in my home on the Ridge so more specific details about location will be shared with those who sign up.

Day 1
10-12: Nutrition education
12-12:30: Lunch (Premade: will be naturally gluten-free and dairy-free)
12:30-1: Movement
1-3: Cooking skills

Day 2
10-12: Cooking lunch
12-12:30: Lunch (that we made)
12:30-1: Walk to community garden (Educate on how the fuel we eat affects our bodies)
1-1:30: Learn about plant foods at the community garden
1:30-2: Walk back (Discuss basic meal/snack templates) 

2-3: Putting it into practice: making a healthy snack.
